How do I integrate with Shopify?
Integrating Shopify with LA Sublimation takes just a few simple clicks to set up and publish your products. While the process is designed to be straightforward, we’ve outlined each step below to guide you through it!
Install the App
Whether you begin in your Brand Settings or through the Shopify App Marketplace, simply install the LA Sublimation app. If you don’t have a LA Sublimation account yet, you’ll be prompted to create one for free. If you already have an account, you can choose to “Link to an Existing Account.”
When creating a new account, you’ll just need to provide an email address, name, and password. You’ll receive a verification email to confirm your address and log in to your new account. Once that’s done, your LA Sublimation app installation is complete!
You can quickly confirm the installation was successful by checking that the LA Sublimation app appears in the Apps section of your Shopify dashboard.

- As part of the installation, LA Sublimation will automatically create Shipping Profiles in Shopify for any future products you sync from the portal. These profiles are based on the shipping charges determined by the destination and weight of each LA Sublimation order. No additional setup is required, but you’re always free to customize your Shopify shipping profiles as needed.
- Please note: LA Sublimation currently supports only 1:1 ecommerce integrations. This means one ecommerce store can be linked to only one LA Sublimation brand account, and vice versa. If you want to integrate multiple stores, each will need its own LA Sublimation brand account. Similarly, multiple LA Sublimation accounts require multiple ecommerce stores.
Finish Account Setup
Once installed, you can finalize important account details, including your return address and preferred payment methods.
- Set Up Brand Info: Confirm your company details—make sure these reflect the store or brand you’ll be operating under.
- Shipping & Fulfillment: Enter your shipping information, including where we should send physical materials and the address for order returns (if different).
-
Add a Primary Payment Method: Securely add a credit card to your account through encrypted Stripe authentication. You won’t be charged until you place a manual order or approve your Shopify orders.
Note: Shopify does not support ACH payment processing, so this option won’t be available after installation.

Creating New Product
If you haven’t already, it’s time to create new products to sell! Simply choose the style you want to design and set up your product using the LA Sublimation Product Designer. The process is easy and straightforward.
Syncing Your Products to Shopify
Now that your ecommerce integration is set up with your Shopify account and you’ve created products to sell, the next step is to sync your products from LA Sublimation so they’re properly set up in your Shopify store.
If you create new products after integrating your Shopify account, syncing is simple — you can sync directly to Shopify during the product creation process:

Syncing to Shopify will automatically add your new product to your Shopify store as an inactive listing. All SKUs, weights, images, and fulfillment details will be set up automatically.
If you want your new product to be immediately available for sale on your site, be sure to check Add to Sales Channel. This will add the product to your default sales channel; any additional sales channels will need to be enabled directly within Shopify.
Syncing to Shopify is optional during product creation — simply uncheck the option if you don’t want to sync the product right away. You can always sync it later whenever you’re ready.
Syncing Existing Products
For existing products, you can sync them from either the product page or the My Products page in your LA Sublimation Portal.
If you’re on the product page for an unsynced item, simply click the three dots next to Design New at the top-right and select Sync to Shopify.

On your My Products page, you can switch to List View by clicking the icon next to the Search field. Products that have been synced to Shopify will display a Shopify icon next to them.

For products that haven’t been synced yet, click the three dots next to the Add to Cart button to open the menu, where you’ll see the option to Sync to Shopify.

When a product is already synced, the menu option will change to View in Shopify, allowing you to directly access the product as it appears in your Shopify store.

Approve Pending Orders
To make sure you’re only charged for the Shopify orders you want to produce, all orders are initially set to a PENDING status by default. You must manually approve each order on the Pending Orders page in your portal.
If you prefer, you can skip this step by enabling auto-approve on the Pending Orders page. This will send all incoming Shopify orders directly into production without manual review, speeding up the process.

Note: Auto-approval applies only to orders that are not marked as Awaiting Payment in Shopify. If you want orders awaiting payment to be produced before payment is processed in Shopify, you’ll need to manually approve them on the Pending Orders page.
Ecommerce Reset
If you ever need to disconnect your Shopify app, simply uninstall the app from your Shopify Admin Apps section. LA Sublimation will automatically disconnect your account from that store.
Note: This won’t delete any Shopify products previously synced with LA Sublimation. Those products will remain but be assigned to a non-LA Sublimation location. LA Sublimation will no longer receive orders for those products unless you re-sync them by reinstalling the app.
If you delete a synced LA Sublimation product from your Shopify store and want to add it back, use the Resync to Shopify feature on the LA Sublimation product page.
