Connecting Your E-Commerce Platform (Shopify)

This guide walks you through how to connect your Shopify store to LA Sublimation’s order management system so orders can flow directly into production.

You’ll:

1. Format your SKUs correctly

   
   

2. Add LA Sublimation as a custom fulfillment service in Shopify

   
   

3. Send us your Shopify URL so we can complete the connection on our side

   
   

Once this is set up, any product assigned to LA Sublimation will flow into our system automatically.

1. Formatting SKUs (Required)

LA Sublimation will provide you with style SKUs for all products we manufacture for your brand (via our portal or shared SKU sheet).

You’ll use those style SKUs to build your full product SKUs in Shopify, using this format:

SKU Format:

StyleCode-ArtNameFromProductTitle-Size-TrimColor

Example

You’re adding an Extra Large Pullover Hoodie with a Black drawstring, and the product title is:

Munnin White Pullover

The SKU would be:

AOP351-Munnin White-XL-Black

Where:

• AOP351 = Pullover Hoodie (style code)
• Munnin White = Art name from the product title
• XL = Size

• Black = Trim color (Black or White only, depending on style)

  
  

Important SKU Rules

• No spaces around the hyphens (-) in the SKU
• Spaces are allowed inside the art name (e.g., Munnin White)
• Do not use hyphens inside the art name (e.g., avoid Munnin-White)

• Trim color values should follow the style rules (commonly Black or White for drawcords, zippers, etc.)

  
  

Where to Add SKUs in Shopify

1. Go to the Product editing page in Shopify.

   
   

2. Under Inventory, add the full LA Sublimation SKU and art name into the SKU field.

   
   

3. Under Variants, add the size-specific SKU for each variant (e.g., XS, S, M, etc.) using the same format.

   
   

Repeat this for every product that LA Sublimation produces for your brand.

2. Adding LA Sublimation as a Fulfillment Service

To allow our system to pull and fulfill assigned items, LA Sublimation needs to be set as a Custom Fulfillment Service in your Shopify settings, and then assigned to each relevant product.

Step-by-Step: Set Up LA Sublimation as a Fulfillment Service

1. In Shopify, go to Settings.

   
   

2. Click Shipping and Delivery (or Shipping, depending on Shopify’s current UI).

   
   

3. Scroll to Custom order fulfillment (or “Dropshipping / Fulfillment services”) and click:

   Add dropshipping service or Add custom fulfillment service.

   
   

   Use the following:

   • Service Name: LA Sublimation

   • Email: shipping@sublimation.la (or your internal integration email if you prefer)

     
     

4. Click Save.

   
   

Assign LA Sublimation to Each Product

1. Go back to your Product editing page in Shopify.

   
   

2. Scroll to the Shipping section.

   
   

3. Under Fulfillment service, select LA Sublimation.

   
   

4. Save the product.

   
   

5. Repeat this for every product that LA Sublimation manufactures and ships on your behalf.

   
   

Fulfillment Profile Info We Need

Email the following info to: shipping@sublimation.la

• Shipping / Return Address

  • This is the address you want used on packing slips and for returns (if applicable to your policy).

    
    

    Logo File for packing slips / branding

  • Black & white or grayscale
  • File type: JPG or PNG

  • Size: 300 W x 75 H pixels

    
    
    

3. Send Us Your Shopify URL

Our API needs your Shopify store URL, which is slightly different from your main website URL.

Typical format:

https://storename.myshopify.com

Please email your Shopify store URL to:

sales@sublimation.la

Once we have:

• Your formatted SKUs
• LA Sublimation set as your fulfillment service
• Your shipping/return info + logo

• Your Shopify URL
